How much will my consultations and scans cost?

Fees are based on care required.

Initial consult and initial scan;

First Visit $350 

Follow up visit $200

Scans are between $185 - $385

Pregnancy Management Fee $5000

Other costs to be derived once management plan is made for services including investigative surgery, fertility plans, obstetric planning, management of chronic conditions.

How often am I seen?

Visiting frequency depends on why you are attending.  

As a guide:  In pregnancy, every month until 28 weeks, every fortnight until 36 weeks, then each week until birth. 

Fertility visits are governed by what kind of assisted reproductive technique you are accessing. 

Where will I have my baby?

All babies are delivered at Epworth Freemasons.

Can I still be seen by Dr Pregs even if I don’t have private health care?

Yes. Quotes can be provided.

What can I expect at my first consultation?

We will discuss your medical history in the context of your current problem. An ultrasound will be undertaken.  Diagnosis and management can often be provided at the time of this visit depending on your issue.  Partners/support people are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Can I make any appointments with Dr Pregs via Telehealth?

No.  Experience has taught me that best outcomes are achieved through person to person assistance.  I am, however, happy to take and return phone calls and encourage you to ask questions.  The only silly question is the one you don’t ask.

What do I need to bring to a consultation? 

Any past results that seem relevant to your current situation.  A referral from a general practitioner if you want to access Medicare benefits.
